Application of Monoclonal Antibodies in Imaging and Therapy

1986
Surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy, the standard treatment modalities for cancer, have been in clinical medicine for more than two decades. The principles for the use of surgery and radiotherapy are very well established and mostly part of the standard practice of medicine. Chemotherapy is of more recent origin with a continued evolution in the use of chemotherapy with the advent of new drugs and new drug combinations over the past two decades. General principles are well established for the translation of toxic chemicals from the laboratory to the clinic.
