LAS TIC EN LOS ENTORNOS EDUCATIVOS. UN ESTUDIO SOBRE LOS HÁBITOS COMUNICACIONALES DE LOS JÓVENES UNIVERSITARIOS DE BOGOTÁ (COLOMBIA) Y GUARANDA (ECUADOR)

The TIC in recent years, have been developed as a key factor in the relationship of university students, channeling the interaction of these young people with the public sphere and their social and affective environments. Within this process, the use stimulus promoted by educational institutions, which tend to incorporate these technological platforms, is of special relevance, either as resources to support the teaching and learning processes, or as spaces for dissemination and social participation. With this study, we present a comparative work between the communication habits of university students in two urban environments: Bogota (Colombia) and Guaranda, capital of the province of Bolivar (Ecuador). The results coincide with those obtained by other authors, when observing an irregular implementation of ICTs, while the availability of connections and access devices are not enough to promote a deepening of young people’s communication habits; review other aspects, such as degrees of technological appropriation of teachers or the adequacy of processes within universities, among others.
