Recurrence of benign orbital neurilemmoma (schwannoma) after 22 years.
1982
: A 34-year-old woman underwent removal of a mass from the apex of her left orbit. Histologically it was shown to be a benign neurilemmoma (schwannoma), similar in structure but dissimilar in density of nuclei and stromal appearance to a tumour removed from the same orbit 22 years previously. No cutaneous stigmata of von Recklinghausen's disease were observed.
