Natural orifice surgery. Hybrid transvaginal cholecystectomy

OBJECTIVE: To review a current state of the natural orifice surgery. SUBJECT: Review article and case report. SETTING: Porodnicko-gynekologicka klinika Pardubicke krajske nemocnice, a.s. METHOD: The analysis of published data and case report. CONCLUSION: Natural orifice surgery makes it possible to perform intraperitoneal surgical procedures with a minimal number of access points in the abdominal wall entryways, so these procedures are hybrids. The aim is to reduce transabdominal assistance to be minimal or none at all.
