Sensor system for disinfectants collection and metering in textile washings (Senking systems)

The invention pertains to a process for amperometric determination of the concentration of at least one component in aqueous solutions, especially in wash and/or disinfectant baths in commercial laundries, and to a device for carrying out this process. The determination is effected on the solution to be tested and the voltage level of a working electrode is set so that peracetic acid (PES) is selectively precipitated. A precipitation stream flowing between the working electrode and a counterelectrode is detected and used to determine the PES concentration directly.
