Study on preparation and structure of CuO-ZnO-Al_2O_3 mixed metal oxides

2008
Layered double hydroxides(LDHs) with different Cu2+,Zn2+ and Al3+ molar ratios were prepared by separate nucleation and aging steps method devoloped by our laboratory. The composition, structure and surface chemical states of LDHs and the products calcined at 500 ℃ were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier transform infrared(FT-IR),thermogravimetry-differential thermal analysis(TG-DTA),temperature-programmed reduction(TPR) and X-ray photoelectron spectrometry(XPS).The results indicated that the interaction of CuO-ZnO-Al2O3 mixed metal oxides existed in LDH samples calcined at 500 ℃,and the molar ratio of Cu2+,Zn2+ and Al3+ had obviously influence on the structure and thermal stability of the LDHs,as well as the composition and reducibility of the calcined samples.
