Education, especially public school education for elementary and secondary levels, is highly valued in almost all societies. Through education, an individual strives to elevate his or her socio-economic status (SES); society promotes the role of socialization and social reproduction for the next generation. In addition, society attempts to mend social inequalities through equal opportunities for education for its members.
