Periodontitis and sleep apnoea.

A study was undertaken to determine the prevalence of periodontitis (PD) in patients diagnosed with Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA). Results indicated that an association does exist between OSA and PD; thereby highlighting the need for further research on the subject.
