On page 1877, MPP is inaccurately classified as a bipyridyl compound. As illustrated correctly in Fig. 1, MPP structurally consists of a pyridine and benzene ring. Therefore, it does not belong to the class of bipyridyl compounds, such as PQ, characterized by two linked pyridine rings (see Fig. 1). The sentence should correctly read as follows: “Interestingly, MPP was tested as an herbicide in the 1960s under the name of cyperquat [81].” In Fig. 1, the chemical structure of maneb is not complete. The structure shown should include a negative charge on each CS2 group, or alternatively as CS2H. An updated version of Fig. 1 is shown here.
