La cytométrie en flux: intérêt pronostique dans les cancers mammaires. Étude de 685 cas

1991
Abstract The prognostic value of DNA flow cytometry has been evaluated by a prospective study of 685 cases of breast cancers. All patients were initially surgically treated. Multivariate analysis on the Cox model showed that flow cytometry classification appears to have major pronostic importance, before histopronostic classification and Progesterone Receptor status. Moreover, determination of proportion of cells DNA-synthesis (S %) phase allows definition of subgroups with poor prognosis within population generally expected to have a favorable outcome.
