All-round operative monitoring of radioactive aerosols in the effluents of nuclear power stations

1981
The tendency toward a reduction of the level of the maximum permissible discharge of radionuclides into the atmosphere [i] requires constant improvement of the methods of monitoring gaseous media. The conventional approach, consisting in the further improvement of procedures for determining the individual nuclides at discharge points [2], does not allow simultaneously to sharply increase the sensitivity and operability of radiometric and spectrometric analyses.
