Discussion on the two-column flow path for chloroform distillation

The two-column flow path for the distillation of chloroform is composed of a column for chloroform distillation and a column for chloroform recycle.The influences of the volume of return flow from the latter into the former on the operation performance of the former,the yield of product and the consumption of steam are analyzed.The author suggests to replace the two-column flow path by a one-column flow path.
