Properties of solid solutions of (1 - x)PbSc/sub 1/2/Ta/sub 1/2/O/sub 3/ x xPbSc/sub 1/2/Sb/sub 1/2/O/sub 3/

1987
Ceramic samples of (1 - x)PbSc/sub 1/2/Ta/sub 1/2/O/sub 3/ x xPbSc/sub 1/2/Sb/sub 1/2/O/sub 3/ (x = 0-1) were prepared, and their x-ray and dielectric properties were studied. The effect of quenching on the Curie temperature and on the behavior of the dielectric properties was studied. It was found that the degree of ordering of B/sup 3 +/ and B/sup 5 +/ cations in the oxygen octahedrons decreased for specimens with x = 0-0.3, and that the range in which the ferroelectric phase exists, following quenching, broadened to x = 0.2.
