This article discusses some cases involving the Articles of Agreement of the International Monetary Fund that have been decided in recent years by the courts of various countries, and is in continuation of earlier contribu tions to this Journal1. The cases are considered in connection with the un enforceability of certain exchange contracts; remedies granted notwith standing the unenforceability of these contracts; the relationship of ex change control to nationalization and the doctrine of the act of state; exchange surrender requirements and the concept of foreign revenue laws; the choice of exchange rates by the courts; and the meaning of a rate of exchange. The cases have been decided by courts in Germany, England, France, the Netherlands, the United States, Venezuela, and Brazil.
