Advance of research on cirrhosis portal hypertension drugs

Decompensated period of cirrhosis mainly manifests the decline of liver function and portal hypertension.Liver function decline is an irreversible damage,so it is the key to control the portal hypertension.Reducing blood flow resistance within the liver or portal collateral circulation is an effective way of reducing portal pressure.At present the clinical treatment of portal hypertension has a variety of drugs,their mechanisms are different,and they have their respective advantages and disadvantages.Some portal hypertension drugs in the current research are reviewed in this paper.
