Dietary And Environmental Predictors To Urinary Concentrations Of Phthalates And Bisphenol A In Pregnant Women In The Morelos, Mexico

2015
Objective: To evaluate environmental and dietary predictors for phthalates and Bisphenol during pregnancy. Material and Methods. Mono-carboxypropyl (MCPP) monoethyl (MEP), 2-ethyl-5-carboxyphenyl (MEcPP), 2-ethyl-5-hydroxyhexyl (MEHHP) Mono-n-butyl (MBP): 8 determinations were performed phthalate metabolites , Mono-iso-butyl (MIBP), MEOHP, monobenzyl (MBzP) mono-2-ethylhexyl (MEHP) phthalate as well as a unique product of bisphenol A (BPA) in urine samples obtained from 292 women during pregnancy, determinations of phthalates were performed by high resolution isotope dilution-MS / MS (HPLC-MS / MS) and bisphenol A determinations were performed by Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). Through a questionnaire about environmental exposure and one on food frequency, potential sources to phthalates and bisphenol A were determined. Variables from metabolites adjusted for creatinine were log transformed and 3 groups of these metabolites were created through principal components. Linear regression models ...
