A C–C bond formation reaction at the α-carbon atom of α-oxo ketene dithioacetals via the Baylis–Hillman type reaction

Abstract The first example of TiCl 4 -mediated Baylis–Hillman type reaction of α-acetyl cyclic ketene dithioacetals with arylaldehydes was described. This methodology adds a new entry to the C–C bond formation at the α-carbon atom of α-oxo ketene dithioacetals.
