Valeur diagnostique de la tomographie d'émission monophotonique utilisant l'HmPAO Tc 99 m comme traceur dans la maladie d'Alzheimer

Single photon emission tomography with HmPAO Tc 99m was used in 26 patients with probable Alzheimer's disease (AD) and 10 healthy volunteers. Cortical perfusion was globally depressed with the largest reductions in temporal cortices in AD patients. With semi-quantitative assessment, sensitivity and specificity to Alzheimer's disease were 92 %, and 90 %, respectively. Asymmetries of relative perfusion with deficits on the left side were demonstrated in AD patients.
