The mechanism of Losartan interfering myocardial apoptosis in heart failure rats

Objective To probe the mechanism of Losartan interfering myocardial apoptosis in heart failure rats.Methods 24 SD male rats(8weeks) were divided into three groups:the control group,the heart-failure group,and the treatment group.Each group had eight rats.We used Adriamycin intraperitoneal injection model,and at the same time the treatment group gavaged to Losartan for six weeks.Finaly,to detect the myocardial apoptosis and the level of Bax protein and Bcl-2 protein 1in all groups.Results The myocardial apoptosis in the heart-failure group and the treatment group were significantly above than the control group,while compared to the heart-failure group,The myocardial apoptosis in the treatment group was significantly decreased;at the same time,the level of Bax protein and Bcl-2 protein in the heart-failure group and the treatment group were significantly more than the control group,but compared to the heart-failure group,the level of Bax protein in the treatment group was less,while the level of Bcl-2 protein was above.Conclusion Losartan can interfer myocardial apoptosis through up-regulating of the level of Bcl-2 protein and down-regulating of the level of Bax protein.
