The aim of this study is to provide the preliminary results of the comparisons of two field sites exposed to the same environmental conditions but with contrasting beach management strategies. Truc Vert beach and Biscarrosse beach are both low sandy beaches situated on the 250km long linear French coast exposed to the Atlantic swells and are about 35km distant.
