The Game Buy Cards: A Proposal For A Teaching of Integers Numbers

Difficulties with traditional education of the integer numbers has been the object of several researchers in the area of Mathematics Education. Such teaching has as a characteristic a process mechanized and distant from the reality of learners and few are the resources that can help the teacher in an active and efficient teaching. In this sense, the objective of this work is to identify some of the difficulties found in the teaching and learning process of the integer numbers, in particular the negatives, and present a teaching proposal through an educational game titled Buy Cards. The work was developed with 76 students, from different classes of Elementary School. The collection of data was established in regular classes of a municipal public school located in the city of Taubate-SP.
