The objective of this study was to develop and validate a smartphone application that can work as a improver and guideline for the dentist in his planning for the treatment of patients with osseointegrated single implants from patient selection to prosthetic planning through surgical planning. The common sense on the management of patients with the most varied physiological profiles, as well as the most conspicuous surgical techniques for the anatomical improvement, as well as the several types of prosthetic solutions available in the current trading, have been sought in the literature. First, a previous research with 20implantologistswas done to understand how important it would be in the professional's daily life, an application that could serve as a guide for anamnesis, that could create lines of surgical treatment according to the anatomical-physiological profile of the patient and to create solutions prosthetic according to the result of the surgical phase. All of them stated that it would be very useful to use a tool with these characteristics. The technical development of the application was carried out for Android® system in partnership with the Laboratories of Technological Innovations (LIT), of the Christus University Center, in Portuguese and not linked to any company or website. The application was developed in the form of a step-by-step guide that will guide the user from the patient's register, to the prosthetic solution. A System Usability Scale (SUS) questionnaire and a self-designed questionnaire to evaluate the usability of the tool as an adjunct to the conventional method of work were applied to 23 implantology specialists and implantology students who used the app to solve an aleatory case achievinga80,9% score. As conclusions the application has proved interactive and didactic tool for planning and database besides scientifically base the professional in the treatment with unit implants and still proved to be very practical and usable for all participants.
