Employees’ Economic Context in Contemporary Organizations

Considerable public attention has been devoted to the state of the economy and its implications for individual welfare. Although some scholars have suggested that organizations have played a role in these trends, discussion of how contemporary economic trends may impact organizational outcomes has been limited. To address this gap in the literature, this symposium aims to highlight how employees' economic circumstances can shape organizational outcomes.
