The paper introduces the causes of head motion in titanium alloy linear friction welding, especially analyzing the influences of this motion on the formation of flash and weld interface, and preliminarily studies the distribution trait of weld oxides which emerge due to the head motion, which will lay a test foundation for designing and manufacturing LFW machine and matching processing parameter.
