Reply to HEP-21-0820.

We appreciate the comments of Drs. Kushner and Chappell highlighting the importance of DAA treatment during pregnancy. We are in full agreement with their opinion that providers are placed in a challenging situation absent the safety and efficacy data for which we advocate. We would, however, provide a note of caution as to whether pregnant individuals always prefer to be treated during pregnancy. Our own research indicates there is a range of views, with some individuals who clearly prefer treatment and others who just as clearly do not.
