The possibility of performing laser interventions after the implantation of posterior chamber intraocular lenses

1999
: The possibility of YAG laser interventions on the posterior capsule of the lens with subsequent argon laser coagulation of the retina in patients with aphakia and artiphakia is studied. The optimal intervention for secondary cataract in patients with artiphakia is circular resection of the posterior capsule. Intraocular lenses prevent such complications as vitreous hernias and allow creating a larger and better shaped opening in the posterior chamber, thus providing a better access for laser coagulation of the retina.
