The wing support vehicle (10) comprises a metal core (12) having a top portion provided with fasteners for a fender. This upper part is provided with ribs (14A) arranged to stiffen when stresses directed in the transverse direction and to buckle during impacts directed downwards, when the wing support (10) is mounted on the vehicle. The metal core (12) comprises openings (22) to reduce its stiffness to satisfy predefined deceleration criteria. The wing support also comprises a rigid bottom portion (10B) provided for attachment to the vehicle structure.
