Simulation Study on Noise Reduction Effect of Substation Noise Barrier

In order to explore the noise reduction effect of different top structure noise barriers on substation for low-frequency noise, four kinds of noise barriers were studied by acoustic finite element method. The point acoustic source was used as noise source. Based on acoustic finite element simulation method, the noise barriers for different noise frequencies were studied when the point source was 1 m, 3 m, and 5 m away from the noise barrier. The simulation results show that the noise barrier has good noise reduction effect when the distance between the sound source and the noise barrier is close, and the Y-type noise barrier has the best noise reduction ability; the noise barrier has better noise reduction effect on high-frequency than low-frequency noise.
