Tests for addiction (chronic intoxication) of morphine type

Abstract A survey is presented of laboratory and clinical methods for the determination of addiction liability of substances with morphine-like effects. Since physical dependence is the outstanding pharmacological criterion of addiction of morphine type, the procedures for its qualitative and quantitative assessment are described in detail.
