Numerical simulation of the influence on rectangular case drawing deformation based on different blank-holder surface form

The numerical simulation concerning rectangular case drawing process at three different kinds of curve face blank-holder is carried out,from which distribution of shearing stress in the region of flange curve edge as well as that of equivalent stress and equivalent strain on the symmetric line of round angle are obtained.Furthermore,a comparative analysis is conducted.The simulation result shows that the best forming property and evenest overall deformation of the blank can be gotten when rectangular case is based on pyramidal surface in the region of flange curve edge,and that forming limit based on cylindrical surface is lower than that based on plane surface.This research possesses considerable value for the experimental study on rectangular case drawing as well as practical work.
