Synthetic Aperture Radar Jamming Semi-Physical Simulation System Based on NI PXI Platform

2019
In the background of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) jamming and anti-jamming technology, this paper designed and constructed a semi-physical simulation system for SAR jamming based on electromagnetic scattering simulation. The basic idea is transmitting simulated target scattering echoes to realize jamming for real SAR system. Scattering signal is simulated by our laboratory developed software, and a hardware system was designed to receive SAR signal and transmit simulated echoes. The hardware is based on the NI PXI platform, using embedded controllers and user-programmable FPGA. Compared with traditional box-type instruments, it can customize the development of functional modules, which is simpler and more convenient. The experimental results show that the designed semi-physical system can reach the goal of jamming by transmitting simulated images. The proposed system can be used to verify SAR jamming and anti-jamming algorithm for researchers.
