Professionalism in IT

This chapter considers the history of IFIP and Professionalism in ICT, and why Professionalism in ICT is becoming as critical as for other professions. Examples of the criticality of Professional and Ethical behavior are provided. The founding and work of the International Professional Practice Partnership (IP3) is explained. Requirements for a Profession are provided. The progress in developing Professionalism in different countries is explored.
