On Corrosion Resistance Capability of Wood-plastic Composites

In this paper,using high density polyethylene and wood fiber as the main raw materials,produces 4 types of wood-plastic composites with different contents of wood flour through hot molding process.The effect of wood fiber content on the corrosion resistance of wood-plastic composites was studied by testing mass loss rate,the bending strength and surface morphology before and after corrosion.The results of the research indicates that WPC would be corrupted in the condition of Gloeophyllum trabeum;the higher content of wood fiber,the more severely corrupted of WPC;Gloeophyllum trabeum could easily corrupt the wood fiber from WPC,but not plastic.
