Stochastic dynamic economic dispatch with multiple wind farms based on wind power conditional distribution models

This paper proposes a stochastic dynamic economic dispatch method with multiple wind farms (WFs) based on wind power conditional distribution models, which is able to minimize the system cost with large-scale wind power integration. Firstly, two kinds of classical wind power conditional distribution models are analyzed and compared. Then, stochastic dynamic economic dispatch method with multiple WFs based on wind power conditional distribution models is established. Using the joint distribution of multiple WFs and marginal distribution of the sum power of all WFs, the generation schedules are obtained, which meet the economy and reserve requirements. At last, numerical experiments on IEEE 30-bus system with two WFs are employed to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
