Air spinning silk-cotton interwoven denim and its production method
1992
Denim is interwoven from pneumatically spun silk in the conditions of 14-35 Nm of yarn count, 60-100/in. of warp density and 35-50/in. of weft density. Its technological steps include warping of pneumatically spun silk bobbin, using tension-distribution by sections and layers, dyeing after reduction in alkaline solution, sizing, bleaching weft, weaving on loom, antishrink treatment, and then washing with sand and smooth-rubbing. Beside the advantages inherent in denim, it has the characteristics of pure silk fabrics.
