Osteochondral lesions of the talus (OLT) are uncommon injuries, representing less than 1% of all talar injuries. we present the rare case of an inverted OLT, associated with rupture of the lateral ankle ligaments, which was treated by debridement and re-insertion of the fragment into its defect without fixation. q 2004 European Foot and Ankle Society.
