The present invention aims to provide a pant-type wearing article improve so as to facilitate fastener members attached to inelastic regions defined in lateral zones of the wearing article to be handled. Front fastener members 12 attached to transversely opposite lateral zones 11 of a front waist region 6 are detachably engaged with rear fastener members 14 attached to transversely opposite lateral zones 13 of a rear waist region 7 to form a pant-shaped wearing article. In the lateral zones 11, 13, elastic members 16, 17, 36, 37 extending under tension in a circumferential direction across the waist regions are cut at a plurality of locations 55, 65 so as to form first front inelastic regions 51 and first rear inelastic regions 61. The front fastener members 12 and the rear fastener members 14 are respectively attached to the first front inelastic regions 51 and the first rear inelastic regions 61, respectively.
