Identification Studies on Resistance of Sesame Germplasm Resources to Macrophomina phaseoli

The resistance of 52 sesame germplasm resources to Macrophomina phaseoli were identified.The results showed that 52 germplasm resources were susceptible seriously,the rate of diseased plants was 39.05%~100.00% with an average of 87.04%; the disease index was 0.30~1.00,0.82 on average;the immune resources were not found. The clustering analysis showed that 37 germplasms were susceptible,accounting for 71.15% of total materials;fifteen germplasms were resistant to Macrophomina phaseoli,accounting for 28.85%.The resistance of local germplasms to Macrophomina phaseoli was higher than that of improved varieties,and there were significant differences in resistance among these germplasms.Fifteen resistant germplasms tested in this research,such as Qingma,Fengcheng white sesame and Ganzhi No.9,could be used in the breeding and resistance improvement of sesame.
