Design and Application of Cutting Unit to EBH300(A) Mine Rock Roadheader

With the structure comparison between the cutting unit of the EBH300(A) rock roadheader and the cutting unit of the conventional roadheader,it was found that the intersection angle between the lift cylinder function force and the tension arm of the cutting unit in the EBH300(A) rock roadheader was increased,thus the location of the lift cylinder function force to the function point on the cutting boom would be changed and the load status in the lifting process of the cutting unit could be obviously improved.Meanwhile the rotation structure of the cutting unit in the EBH300(A) rock roadheader had a gear and rack rod driving to replace the conventional rotation cylinder directly driving and thus the stress status during the rotary process of the cutting unit could be improved.With the stress analysis and the torque calculation,the torque variation figural between the cutting unit of the EBH300(A) rock roadheader and the cutting unit of the conventional roadheader was obtained and EBH300(A) rock roadheader would have a higher lifting and rotary torque and a higher cutting efficiency.The conclusion obtained was that the vibration in the moving could be basically eliminated.With the application of the cutting unit in the Shandong Xinjulong Mine,the cutting unit designed of the EBH300(A) rock roadheader could reach the target to improve the cutting performances which could provide the base for the correct and reliable transmission of the auto control signal for the roadheader.
