Regularities of Obtaining Silver Nanoparticles in the Presence of Polyvinylpyrrolidone

2021
The influence of technological factors on the regularities of obtaining silver nanoparticles using polyvinylpyrrolidone as a reducing agent and stabilizer has been studied. The chemistry of the reaction of silver obtaining by the reduction reaction with polyvinylpyrrolidone has been proposed. The mechanism of chemical reaction of silver nanoparticles obtaining in the presence of polyvinylpyrrolidone has been proposed. The formation of silver nanoparticles was confirmed by UV spectroscopy and transmission electron microscopy. The effect of temperature, ratio and reagents concentration on the kinetics of silver ions reduction has been established. Particles with a smaller diameter are formed in the case of the use of PVP with a higher molecular weight. Silver-containing composites in the form of porous blocks and films were synthesized and their antibacterial and antifungal properties were investigated. Developed porous composites are recommended to be used in medicine as osteoplastic to replace damaged bone tissue.
