Distributed Optimal Economic Dispatch Based on Hierarchical Group Consensus Algorithm in Combined Heat and Power System

In this paper, a novel distributed hierarchical group consensus algorithm is proposed to solve the combined heat and power economic dispatch problem (CHPEDP). The whole system is divided into two groups: electricity group and heat group. By information exchange among neighbour units, the incremental cost of electricity and heat reach consensus respectively to minimize the total operation cost. In addition, the hierarchical control strategy is designed to ensure the supply-demand balance effectively. The leader level contains the feedback information of power mismatch and plays a dominant role while the follower level receives information from the leader level and realizes self-adjustment based on the received information. Finally, simulation results verify the proposed algorithm is suitable and efficient to solve the CHPEDP in a distributed manner.
