Current situation of knowledge, attitude, practice on transitional nursing of nurses in regional medical association

Objective To explore the current situation of knowledge, attitude, practice (KAP) on transitional nursing of nurses in regional medical association so as to provide the base for related training and quality control in regional medical association. Methods A total of 128 nurses in regional medical association were investigated with the transitional care KAP questionnaire for nurses. Results The overall score of the transitional care KAP questionnaire for nurses was (70.11±11.46) , which was at the medium level. The score of knowledge, attitude, practice was (64.51±15.88) , (78.27±9.47) , (63.35±18.02) . The pearson correlation analysis showed that there were statistically positive correlations between knowledge and attitude, between attitude and practice, between knowledge and practice (r=0.59, 0.50, 0.55; P<0.01) . It is the influencing factor of the overall score of the transitional care KAP questionnaire, knowledge, attitude, practice wether attending related training. Conclusions Nurses in regional medical association have positive attitudes on transitional nursing. However, the knowledge and practice need to be strengthened further. It is imperative to improve the training mechanism of transitional nursing of nurses in regional medical association.
