In rocket design process, thermal design is one of the most important aspect. In order to protect nozzle, adequate amount of heat protection material is added to nozzle for required mission time. However adding heat protection material increase the system weight and reduce overall performance. Therefore optimization of heat protection material is important and it requires accurate properties of heat protection material. Among the properties of materials, kinetic constant and activation energy that govern decomposition process are the most important. Thus kinetic constant measurement is done with small test motor experiment in subsonic region.
