Production of anion exchange resin of poly(meth) acrylamide type

1991
PURPOSE: To efficiently obtain the subject resin by performing an aminolysis reaction of a granular material of a crosslinked poly(meth)acrylic ester by polyamine and separating an anion exchange resin from a liquid phase containing unreacted polyamine to concentrate the unreacted matter to reuse the same. CONSTITUTION: A granular polymer of crosslinked poly(meth)acrylic ester is subjected to an aminolysis reaction by excessive polyamine and, succeedingly, a formed anion exchange resin is separated from a liquid phase containing unreacted polyamine and washed with water to remove amine and this unreacted polyamine-obtaining liquid phase and polyamine-containing washing water are immediately mixed with the granular polymer of crosslinked poly(meth)acrylic ester to be subjected to the aminolysis reaction and new polyamine is added to this mixture in an amt. necessary for establishing a desired excessive amt. of polyamine and the resulting mixture is distillatively dehydrated to adjust moisture to below 7 wt.%, pref., 6-3 wt.% and subjected to the aminolysis reaction to obtain an anion exchange resin of a poly(meth)acrylamide type.
