A spark plug for internal combustion engine

2005
A spark plug (1) for the internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle, of substantially cylindrical general shape, comprising: - an essentially capacitive lower part (C) comprising: ● two coaxial electrodes: an inner electrode axis ( D) called a central electrode (3) and an outer electrode called a base (2) surrounding the central electrode (3) ● an electrically insulating block called insulator (4) interposed between the central electrode (3) and the pellet (2 ), - an essentially inductive upper part (1) comprising: ● a mandrel (8) surrounded by a central coil (5), a bottom end portion (57) surrounds a top end part (31) the central electrode (3) ● an outer shell (6), ● an insulator (7) interposed radially between the casing (6) and the coil (5) characterized in that the top end part (31) the central electrode (3) has a coating (9) of material which: - present an electrical conductivity higher than the material of the center electrode (3), - has no ferromagnetic properties.
