a method for producing a ceramic material based on zirconium dioxide, in which a partially or fully stabilized by a stabilizer zirconia powder with a SiO¶2¶ content is described ungter 0.5 wt .-% of at least one inorganic oxide is added which does not is identical with the stabilizer, the mixture thus obtained is formed into a workpiece and sintered, which is characterized in that the inorganic oxide is such a type and is added in an amount such that it with the stabilizer during sintering or during application the ceramic material at high temperatures spinel wt .-% in the Zirkondioxidmatrix forms a proportion of up to 5, while the stabilizer partially withdrawn from the Zirkondioxidgitter and increases in partially stabilized zirconia of monoclinic zirconium dioxide up to 80 Vol .-% and fully stabilized zirconia of cubic zirconium dioxide is reduced by up to 30 Vol .-%.
