GPU-Based HHT Algorithm for Large Seismic Data

In order to distinguish and validate the characteristic of original seismic profile or interface of lithology, an improved Hilbert-Huang algorithm is presented in this letter, it decomposes the signal into a finite set of empirical mode component, and then Hilbert spectrum analyses for decomposed component. We use GPU for the parallel processing of massive seismic data, it greatly improved the processing speed. In this letter, we test our method by four sets of seismic data, the experiment results show GPU-based method is about 4 times faster than CPU-based method.
