Effects of Lignin Application on Soil Nitrogen Supply and Growth of Winter Wheat

2010
Pot experiments were carried out to study the effect of lignin application on the characteristic of soil nitrogen supply and nitrogen N uptake by winter wheat. Results showed that the lignin can increase soil microbial biomass nitrogen content, regulate nitrogen release and improve mineral nitrogen content in the soil during the jointing, filling, harvesting periods.Compared with fertilizer treatment, lignin treatment can increase dry substance by 7%~8%,nitrogen uptake by 6%~10%,nitrogen accumulation amount by 16% in the plant at harvest. In conclusion, lignin can improve soil nitrogen supply, promote the N uptake of the wheat and it is of benefit to improve the application efficiency of nitrogen fertilizer.
