ANALYSIS OF THE DESIGN MODELS FOR CALCULATING THE STRENGTH OF INCLINED SECTIONS OF REINFORCED CONCRETE BEAMS ON THE ACTION OF SHEAR FORCES

2014
We consider design models to determine the strength of inclined section of bent reinforced concrete elements without shear reinforcement on the action of shear forces, adopted in the codes and proposed in their development. An example of assessing the strength of inclined sections of reinforced concrete beam, depending on the percentage of longitudinal reinforcement according to some design models. It is shown that the inclusion of longitudinal reinforcement in the calculation of the strength of reinforced concrete beams on the effect of shear forces can improve structural safety and reliability of design solutions, including elements of high-strength concrete.
