The present invention provides a method for preparing a low molecular weight epoxy resins of high epoxy value cardanol is first weighed monoglycidyl ether of cardanol were added to a reaction vessel at room temperature, and then heated, a solution of diallyl amine, molar ratio of cardanol and diallyl ether mono amine is 1: 1 to 2, until no exotherm after the addition of peracetic acid, perbenzoic acid and styrene oxide was added as a catalyst while adding chloroform as solvent for the oxidation reaction 40 ~ 60 ℃ 4 ~ 6 hours, and then treated with aqueous sodium hydroxide solution until PH 7, filtered and the solvent removed to afford the desired product. The present invention is a low molecular weight high epoxy value of low molecular weight epoxy of cardanol, high epoxy value, good low viscosity, high temperature resistance, chlorine-free, environmentally friendly, quick-drying, toughness, self-curing.
